Fill it until there is approximately a quarter inch of space left at the top. Step 2 Place a lit tea light candle underneath, this will cause the water and oil to to evaporate causing the aromas to fill the room. Never put scented oil alone on the little brass bowl as it may damage the surface when heated. How to clean MONTROI’S Travertine Marble Oil Burner After use, the brass bowl can be cleaned only after it has completely cooled down to avoid any the risk of injury. To remove grease, a damp cloth can be used with a bit of alcohol. Exceptionally, a solution with baking powder and water will remove deep stains. Avoid using a metal scourer as it may damage the oil burner. Warnings Oil burners can get very hot so these should be put on a heat-resistant surface such as marble or stone. You should check for possible hazards nearby, moving all flammable items away. Do not leave the brass bowl to go completely dry with the candle lit, or else it may get a burnt scent and smoke. Never leave lit candles or the oil burner unattended. Keep out of children reach.
